New York City is in flames after a Japanese restaurant’s sushi restaurant caught fire.
The fire started on Monday morning at the Masa Sushi restaurant in New Jersey, according to NBC New York.
The blaze is currently burning at 1,500 degrees Fahrenheit.
The owner of the restaurant, who is Japanese, says he was trying to cook his sushi when the fire started.
He says his colleagues are still trying to put out the flames.
A spokesperson for the New York Fire Department says the fire was contained to the building and there are no injuries.
The New Jersey State Police and the Department of Environmental Protection are investigating.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
