JAPANESE food lovers can celebrate the full moon with a taste of home at sushi restaurants across the country.
Sushi lovers in Osaka and Fukuoka will have their first taste of the seasonal Japanese cuisine at their favorite places during the Japanese New Year.
Sake bar owners are encouraging diners to sample sushi from the Japanese island nation.
It’s a big celebration in Japan, with the first sushi-themed street party in the nation, called Tokyo-Sushi, taking place from January 5-8.
Some of the venues are also selling special sushi items.
The country’s most popular sushi restaurant, Sushi Sokyo, is celebrating the new year with a special edition of their famous dish.
They’re calling it the Sushi Tokyo and the chef says that it’s a celebration of life.
They are offering customers a special sampler for the occasion, and you can get it for free from January 4-8, or if you want to try it, you can buy it online or at Sushi Sushi Shop, which is located in Shibuya.
Customers can also get special samplers at Sashimi Sokyo.
The special edition comes with a box of sushi rice and rice-dumplings, and it will cost around 1,500 yen ($115).
Some of those who order the special samplings at the restaurant will get a free meal at the sushi restaurant in addition to the special item.
